Beating the Dough King is the gateway to awakening one of Blox Fruits' best PvP fruits. Here's what the Lv. 2300 boss actually drops, how to summon it, and how to team up to win.
Dough is one of Blox Fruits' most iconic fruits — a Mythical with a devastating awakened kit that anchors serious PvP lineups. But clear up one common mix-up first: beating the Dough King does not hand you the Dough fruit. You buy or trade for Dough itself (2,800,000 money or 2,400 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer). The Dough King is how you awaken it — and that awakening is the priciest in the game.
This is a fight where a team changes everything. The boss has over a million HP and a seven-and-a-half-minute despawn timer, so a coordinated squad — or a couple of strong carries — is the difference between a clean kill and a wasted run. Here's the player's-eye guide.
What the Dough King actually gives you
The Dough King is a Lv. 2300 raid boss with 1,111,500 HP — a health pool only rivaled by the Leviathan and the Tyrant of the Skies. Beating it (you need to deal at least 10%, or 111,150, of its health for credit) guarantees a big haul: 6 levels, around 50,000 money, 2,000 fragments, 57,500 bounty/honor, the Dough King title, the Mirror Fractal, the Pale Scarf, and the Red Key, with a chance at the Spikey Trident. It has the most drops of any raid boss in the game.
The Red Key is the real prize. Once you've unlocked the red door behind the Dough King, you can buy Dough Advanced Raid chips — 1,000 fragments every two hours, or any fruit worth over 1,000,000 — and running that Advanced Raid with Dough equipped is the only way to awaken it. Awakening Dough costs 18,500 fragments, the most expensive awakening in the game alongside Phoenix, which is exactly why the awakened kit is so respected.

Summoning the Dough King
The Dough King is summoned, not found. First, defeat 500 enemies at Cake Land in the Sea of Treats (Third Sea) — far faster with a group. Then, holding the Sweet Chalice, interact with the drip_mama NPC to open the Dimensional Shift and spawn the boss. Only the player carrying the Sweet Chalice can summon it, so make sure the right person does the honors.
Two warnings. First, the boss despawns after 7 minutes 30 seconds, which is short for its huge HP — you're racing the clock. Second, trolls and script users sometimes force the weaker Cake Prince to spawn instead, and bounty hunters love to pick off chalice holders, so serious runs are best done in a private server with people you trust.
- Clear 500 enemies at Cake Land first — bring a squad to speed it up.
- The Sweet Chalice holder must be the one to talk to drip_mama.
- The boss despawns in 7:30 — burst it down, don't stall.
- Deal at least 10% of its HP to earn the drops and the Red Key.
How to win the fight with a team
The Dough King uses the awakened Dough moveset — donut punches, an upward-slam Pastry River, and the Dough Fist Fusillade — and it can genuinely combo you if you get caught. The standard answer is Awakened Buddha: two or more Buddha users bait attacks from opposite sides of the arena and control the boss while everyone else piles on damage. Race Awakening (V4) is highly recommended for the extra damage, defense, and stun.
This is also the classic 'get carried' fight. If you're under-leveled, post honestly that you need carries — strong players run it constantly for materials and to awaken their own Dough. Whatever your role, share one server link so the squad lands in the same game, ally up so nobody accidentally kills a teammate, and confirm the plan in squad chat before you pull the boss.
- Bring two or more Awakened Buddha users to control and tank the boss.
- Turn on Race Awakening (V4) for the damage, stun, and defense boost.
